2. The Isles have now gone 138:12 without a goal as they have been shutout in consecutive games for the first time since November 1993. They are 40:43 shy of the all-time club record for consecutive time without scoring a goal.
3. It's the first time in Islander history that four consecutive games have ended in shutout. [Three previous times, three consecutive games have ended in shutouts.] The Isles are 2-2-0 in those games.
4. Each of the last three games have ended with a 2-0 score. It's the first time in Islander history that they have played three consecutive games in which two goals or fewer have been scored. The six goals over the three games also equals a club record for the fewest goals, both teams, in a three game stretch.

Forever1940 is the nom de plume of FSN statistician Eric Hornick.
Eric, who has worked the Stanley Cup Finals four times, will celebrate his 25th anniversary as the statistician on Islander home telecasts on January 21, 2007. Often referred to on-air as an actuary, he is one of 2,890 Fellows of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is the President-Elect of the Casualty Actuaries of Greater NY.
You can find him in the "Best Seat in the House", about six feet to Howie and Billy's left, at most Islander home games.
