TV notes

The Islanders have been one of the NHL's been kept secrets in
2006.

The secret will get out of the bag early in 2007 as the Isles'
game in Buffalo will be nationally televised by Versus. Versus
announced the addition to their schedule on Friday.

The Isles are also schedule to be on Versus twice in March -- at
MSG on March 5, and at home against the Devils on March 27th.

If you watched our FSN-New York telecast tonight you saw an old
friend joining Deb Kaufman. Jean Potvin has been added to the
Isles broadcasts and will appear with Deb during home games.

Potvin of course was an Islander radio announcer throughout the
glory years -- it's his "Yes, Yes" that is interspersed with Bob
Lawrence's radio call of Bobby Nystrom's Cup winner. Potvin
joined Barry Landers on Islander radio beginning with the 1981
playoffs -- a year in which he earned his second Stanley Cup
ring.
