1975 - At Madison Square Garden, JP Parise scores 11 seconds into overtime, ending what was at the time the shortest overtime game ever played as the Isles eliminate the Rangers 4-3, changing New York hockey history for the next decade or so.
1980 - I've written about this game in the past, because I argue that it is one of, if not the simgle-most importamt game the Isles have ever played.
In Inglewood California, Ken Morrow, 6 weeks into his NHL career, scores in overtime to give the Isles a 4-3 victory in game 3 of the best of 5 first round series. If the Isles lose that game, and fall behind in the series, who knows if they recover and go on to win one Stanley Cup, let alone 4.
