Apparently both suffered the injury in the first period and "tried to fight through it", leading one to wonder if they could have aggravated the injury further later in the game.
Weight played only two shifts in the final 9 minutes of the first period, but appeared to play regularly in the second period--garnering over 8 minures of ice-time. He played the first 35 seconds of the third period before leaving the game.
Bergenheim also played more in the second period than in the first, and was on the ice when the period ended--yet he didn't play at all in the third period.
With Frans Nielsen already back in NY, the Isles have suffered injuries to three veteran forwards already-- and it's still 16 days until Opening Night.
