Some may remember Kenny served as Barry Landers' main substitute for a number of games in the early 90's. This fall, Kenny called the Knicks, Rangers, an NFL game, and served as the host for Fox' locker-room coverage of the Yankees ALCS win --all within a few days.
Kenny, of course, became the Rangers' radio play-by-play guy when Howie joined the Isles in 1995.
While to the best of my knowledge his dad never did an Islander telecast, his Uncles Steve and Al were both Islander broadcasters in the 70's.
Forever1940 is the nom de plume of Eric Hornick, statistician on Islander home telecasts since 1982. Visit my blog: forever1940.blogspot.com and follow me on Twitter @ehornick
