The Isles will look to extend the streak to four games on Friday in Anaheim. They have not done that in four straight games since December 26-31, 2003.

Special special teams
Lost in Tavares' big night Tuesday is this nugget about the Isles' special teams: they have scored at least one power play goal in each of the last three games, while not allowing a single opponent power play goal. It's the second time that they have done that this season (they also did it in the first three games of the season). Those are the only times theat they have done this since the lockout. Prior to that, it last happened in the final three games of the 2003-04 season.
