Tavares (ok, so t's 8 weeks late)

Thanks to a nice tool now avaialble at hockey-reference.com, I can tell you that Tavares' 5 point game in Vancouver was only the fifth by a teenager in the past 23 years:

Rk Player           Age Pos               Date Tm  Opp      G A PTS
1 John Tavares 19-177 C      2010-03-16 NYI @ VAN  W 2 3 5
2 Sidney Crosby 19-128 C    2006-12-13 PIT  PHI       W 1 5 6
3 Ilya Kovalchuk 18-279 LW 2002-01-19 ATL @ FLA   W 1 4 5
4 Alexei Yashin 19-363 C     1993-11-03 OTT @ EDM W 3 2 5
5 Jimmy Carson 19-254 C    1988-03-30 LAK  CGY    W 4 2 6

Only Crosby and Kovalchuk were younger than Tavares.

(Tavares is the only teenager in this time period to have at least two goals and at least three assists in the same game.)
