Last Time First (Place)

The Isles woke up for the second straight morning with a share of the Atlantic Division lead.  The last time the Isles had a share of first place at any time during a season:

(After the Games of Nov 6 2007) -- Ruslan Fedotenko & Miro Satan scored 3rd pd goals as the Isles rallied to beat the Rangers 3-2.

Atlantic GP   W       L      OTL     GF     GA      Pts

NYI      12        8          4          0         36        37        16

PHI      13        8          5          0          40        31        16

PIT      14        7          6          1          43        41        15

NYR    15        7          7          1          27        26        15

NJD     14        5          7          2          32        44        12

If the Isles earn more points in Toronto tonight than the Penguins earn at home against Ottawa, the Isles will find themselves all alone in first place, for the first time in over three years.

(After games of Oct 12 2007)

Atlantic GP       W        L          OTL     GF       GA       Pts

NYI       5          3          2          0          13        17         6

PHI       3          2          1          0          14         9          4

NYR     4          2          2          0           9          7          4

PIT       3          1          2          0           8         11         2

NJD      4          1          3          0          7          11         2

The Isles actually spent three days (Oct 10-12) all alone in first place, after a 2-1 win over the Rangers on October 10th.  They played on October 11th, but lost 8-1 to Toronto.
