Rhett to debut in South?

Frankly Scarlett, it looks like Rhett Rakhshani may be joining the Islanders.

The 22 year old is leading Bridgeport in scoring (10-14-24 in 27 games) and has
been scratched from this afternoon's Sound Tigers game in Worcester.
Rakhshani's 24 points places him

tied for 24th in AHL scoring; he is the leading rookie scorer in the AHL.

Playing with Josh Bailey, Rakhshani has been hot of late, with 3 goals and 6
assists in four December games.

Rakhshani played 4 seasons with the University of Denver before joining
Bridgeport late last season. He would be the 4th 2006 draft pick to play for
the Isles (Okposo, Joensuu, MacDonald). Fellow 2006 draft choice Robin Figren
would be the highest goal scorer (9) left on the Sound Tigers if Rhett is
recalled.

Bailey, btw, is 3-8-11 in 7 games with Bridgeport (entering this afternoon's
game). He is also a team-leading +5.
