346 pen mins

Matt Martin lost a fighting major overnight.  He now has 103 penalty minutes,
meaning he was only given 27 minutes (not 32 as shown in the game sheets--at
least the ones available on nhl.com)

Thus the official total is 346 (not 351 as shown on game sheet)

NHL games with the most penalty minutes since 1990 (with home teams in CAPS):
March 5, 2004: FLYERS 5, Senators 3 — 419 total PIMs (Senators 206, Flyers 213)
March 31, 1992: STARS 5, Sabres 3 — 360 total PIMs (Sabres 188, Stars 172)
Friday: ISLANDERS 9, Penguins 3 — 346 total PIMs (Penguins 163, Islanders 183)

The story goes on to note that Tangredi will not play on Sunday afternoon due to
the concussion he suffered from the Gillies hit.

Penguins (1107) and Isles (1024) are now two most penalized teams in NHL this
season by wide margin.  Nobody else has 900 minutes.  The Isles now have more
PIM's than they had all last season (928)

The Isles now have three players with at least 100 pen mins (Konopka-193,
Gillies -109, Martin -103).  It's the first time since 2002-03 that Isles have
had 3 players with at least 100 PIMS (Cairns 124, Wiemer 116, Scatchard 108).
No other current Islander is close to 100; Hamonic is 4th on the club in penalty
minutes with 42.
