on Sunday on Versus. (About 25,000 fewer watched the same teams last night with
a 10pm start.) Believe it or not, that's more people than watched, on average,
the first two games of the 2003 Finals on ESPN.
From my archives...
<< The games between the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and New Jersey Devils, both 3-0
victories for New Jersey, were watched in an average of 1.23 percent of the 87
million U.S. homes with cable television, according to Nielsen Media Research
Inc. That's about 1.07 million viewers>>
Oh -- and Versus was blacked out in Chicago -- the Hawks on set all-time ratings
records on CSN-Chicago for games 5, 6, and 7 (467,000 for game 7).
So...when you add them together...that means that over 1.6 million viewers
watched nationally -- an increase of 50% from the 2003 Finals on ESPN.
