Today is the 10th anniversary of Bryan Trottier's jersey retirement and him assuming his rightful place in the Islanders Hall of Fame.
Howie hosts the ceremony for "the best center ever to wear the uniform for the New York Islanders" which took place before an Islander 2-2 tie with San Jose before a sellout crowd at the Coliseum.

By the way, for most other franchises, John Tavares' 4-point period last week against Tampa would be enough to at least share the franchise record. The Isles are not most other franchises. Tavares fell two points short of the club record, which also happens to be the league mark.
