All-time .500

The Isles' shutout loss in Pittsburgh dropped their all-time record to .500 (1318-1318-424 in 3,060 games).

The Isles' all-time record has been .500 or better since they were 178-178-83 on January 16, 1978.  That day, the Isles reached .500 with a 4-2 win over Toronto.  It was their second win in a 6-game winning streak and they remained above .500 for nearly 34 years.

On Wednesday, the Isles will play only their fourth game ever with an even win-loss record.

The others:

10/7/72 -- first game in franchise history.  Lost 3-2 to Atlanta.

10/14/72 -- Having evened all-time record at 1-1-0 two days earlier, Isles fall 7-4 to drop under .500.  It would take over five years for them to get even.
1/18/78 -- 5-2 win at Minnesota raises record to 179-178-83. Rookie Mike Bossy had two goals; Bryan Trottier had three assists in the win.
11/23/2011 -- Isles will bring a 141:45 scoreless streak into game with Flyers as they try to avoid falling below .500.
