It looks like the Isles will have their third sellout of the season when the Rangers visit tonight. Scattered single seats were available thru Ticketmaster.
Three sellouts in the first 9 home games may not sound like much, but it's only the third time since the late 80's that it has happened.
In 2001-02, the Isles opened 4-0 on the road and then came home and sold out 4 of the first 8 and 5 of the first 10 games.
In 2007-08, the Isles sold out the home opener, the Columbus Day matinee and Al Arbour's 1500th game for three sellouts in the first 7 games.
With tonight's expected sellout, the Isles will have drawn 117,131 to the first 9 games (13,015 average). The Isles drew 96,957 (10,773 average) for the first nine games a seaosn ago, an increase of 20.8%.
