Nino Niederreiter recorded the first AHL goal of his career this afternoon in Bridgeport's 3-2 loss in Worcester. It was the fourth game of what appears to be a six-game conditioning stint with the Sound Tigers. Nino now has a goal and an assist and is +3 over the four games.
Nino is allowed to stay with the club through the weekend before rejoining the Islanders. Bridgeport plays at Springfield tomorrow and Hershey on Sunday.
David Ullstrom scored Bridgeport's other goal - his 8th of the season, tying Justin DiBenedetto for the team lead. The Sound Tigers allowed the first 3-on-5 goal in their history early in the contest. Anders Nilsson made 26 saves for Bridgeport, but falls to 4-2 on the season.
