Both Rick DiPietro (lower body) and Mike Mottau (upper body) have returned to LI and will be examined here tomorrow (according to several sources, including the Isles).
As Arthur Staple notes -- unclear how either injury occurred and whether it's Rick's knee or groin that's affected.
Staple notes that the Isles will call up an additional defenseman from Bridgeport for the western portion of the trip. He notes that Dylan Reese is the most likely candidate. However, if there remain six healthy defensemen, the recall would not be "emergency" so Reese would be subject to waivers if the Isles try to return him to Bridgeport later on in the season.
