Good-bye Klementyev

Bob MacKenzie reporting that the Isles have placed on Anton Klementyev on unconditional ($125) waivers.

Sounds like his career in the organization is over by mutual agreement.  He had one assist in 20 games this year with Bridgeport.  He has played 100 games for the organization, 99 with Bridgeport and one (March 27, 2010) with the Isles.

The Sound Tigers tried to loan Klementyev to the ECHL last month but instead he returned home to Russia.  Klementyev was drafted 122nd overall in 2009; 5 of the Isles picks that year have already played in the NHL -- reigning AHL Player of the Month Casey Cizikas and Notre Dame's Anders Lee are the other two.

Internet reports are that Kelmentyev, who played for Lokomotiv's junior team before coming to North America, will rejoin that squad as they try to rebuild from September's tragic plane crash.
