Isles hope to close gap to 6...

..tonight in Winnipeg.

Tim Wallace, who had played 31 consecutive Isles games (and 55 career NHL games) without scoring a goal is expected to be scratched in favor of Marty Reasoner, who will return for the first time since being injured on January 6th in Anaheim.  Reasoner has 96 NHL goals, but none this season.  He brings a 50-game goalless streak (dating back to last March) into this game.

If the Isles win, they would need help from Calgary (who would need a regulation win over Toronto) to close within 6 points.

If history is a guide... (with thanks to @thescoreticker)  "Last time Leafs won in Calgary, Canadian dollar was worth 63.7 $US cents.  (Today it's right about $1.00)"

Calgary has won six straight at home against Toronto (the last four in regulation), dating back to a 4-3 Leafs win on 12/2/72002.
