Oilers Acquire Bryan Rodney From Anaheim for Ryan O'MarraGeneral Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenceman Bryan Rodney from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for centre Ryan O'Marra.>>
O'Marra was one of three considerations sent to Edmonton in the Ryan Smyth deal. The Isles picked O'Marra 15th overall in 2005; he has 1 NHL goal (31 games) to his resume. Robert Nilsson scored 37 goals in 252 NHL games for Edmonton before heading to Russia. The Oilers also acquired the Isles' first round pick in 2007, and used that to select Alex Plante. Plante, a defenseman, still only 22 years old, has appeared in 10 games over the last three seasons for Edmonton.
