Isles sign Grahame

The Isles have signed veteran netminder John Grahame to a contract for the rest of the season.  This will allow Kevin Poulin (and Anders Nilsson, when healthy) to continue playing for Bridgeport in their drive for the playoffs.

Grahame was serving as a goalie coach in the USHL.

Grahame, 36, played for the US in the 2006 Olympics as a back-up to Rick Di Pietro.  He has not played professionally this season.  Grahame won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay, backing up Nikolai Khabibulin.  His mother Charlotte also has her name on the Cup, as she has been part of the Avalanche's front office since they moved to Denver.  The Grahames are the first mother-son duo to have their names on the Cup.

Grahame's lifetime NHL record is 97-86-18.
