Parenteau out; consecutive game streak to end at 137

Last week it was Matt Martin and this week it is PA Parenteau who will miss his first game of the season.  Parenteau has an upper body injury and will not play tonight when the Islanders host Dale Hunter's Caps.

Parenteau has played in every game this season, and a total of 137 consecutive games. The only previous game he missed as an Islander was on November 6, 2010 when he was a healthy scratch for a game with Philadelphia.

Parenteau's absence leave four Islanders who have played every game this season: Matt Moulson, Frans Nielsen, John Tavares and Mark Streit.

Current consecutive game streaks
1.  Moulson 233 (game 234 tonight)
2.  Tavares 147  (game 148 tonight)
3.  Parenteau 137 -- will end tonight
4T. Nielsen 69 (game 70 tonight)
4T. Streit 69 (game 70 tonight)

The Islanders have not had four players play a complete season since 1986-87 (80 game season).  The club record is 9, set in 1975-76 (80 game season).
