DiPietro's new squad is off the a rough start -- they are in 13th (last) place in their league having lost in 6 of 7.  As for the quality of the league--who knows? However, this league is the 2nd Division in Germany (in North American terms, this is the AHL).

According to data compiled by the Society for International Hockey Research, DiPietro will be the first player to ever play for the Isles and for Riessersee.

DiPietro's new teammate D'Agostini has appeared in 235 NHL games, first for the Canadiens and lately for St. Louis since being acquired in a trade for Aaron Palushaj.  D'Agostini is in the 2nd year of a 2 year contract with St. Louis. He was scheduled to make $1.8 million this season.
