So on a day in which his former boothmates Joe Micheletti and Billy Jaffe were both nominated for NY Emmys (in the same category), and the Islander broadcasts that he calls the play-by-play for was also nominated for Best Live Sports Event: Program/Special, there's this piece on Howie Rose that appears in Fishbowl NY, a New York media website.
Howie notes: "I'm the Islanders play-by-play voice. I've actually done it longer than anybody in the franchise's history. My goal is to do every last hockey game of my career for the Islanders."

Stan Fischler was also nominated for his work on Hockey Night Live.
Overall, MSG earned 67 nominations, most of any entity (and more than YES/SNY combined).
