It's been nine years since....

The Isles will do something they haven't done in 9 years on Thursday, skate on the ice having already clinched a playoff berth.

The Isles clinched a berth in the last game of the season in 2007, so you have to go back to 2004 to find a game the Isles played after clinching a berth. The Isles clinched a playoff berth on April 2 and then tied the Flyers 3-3 in the regular season finale at a sold-out Coliseum.

The Isles last played two games after clinching a berth in 2003, when a Ranger loss to New Jersey clinched the berth for the Isles on April 4.  The Isles then split a pair of games over that weekend.
