So with the Isles essentially standing pat at the trade deadline, the only addition is Jesse Joensuu, who becomes the 24th active player on the roster (roster limits don't apply now that the trade deadline has passed).
Joensuu has 8 career goals in 60 NHL games and will be looking to return to the Isles lineup for the first time in almost exactly two years (4-9-11 @ Philadelphia).
With Joensuu on the active roster, the Isles now have three players who scored a goal for the Isles in their first game on their first shot (Joensuu-Tavares-Lee).
Joensuu also gives the Isles two players who were born on October 5, 1987, joining Michael Grabner. All else being equal, the Isles would have better with two players exactly 22 years older than Grabner/Joensuu; Mario Lemieux and Patrick Roy share that birthday.
The Isles head to Washington Thursday; only three teams have more than the Isles' 11 road wins: Pittsburgh, Montreal, and Chicago.
