Lee signs with Isles

Welcome to Long Island Anders Lee!

Lee, the Irish' captain this past season, scored 61 goals and added 55 assists over the last three seasons for Notre Dame.  Lee's final collegiate game was on Saturday when Notre Dame, who had won the final CCHA championship the previous week, lost to St. Cloud State in the NCAA playoffs.

Lee was the 152nd player taken overall in the 2009 draft.  He'll turn 23 in July.  Since being drafted by the Isles he played one year in the USHL before spending three years in South Bend.

Lee was the final player the Isles selected in 2009; when he makes his NHL debut, all seven players selected by the Isles will have appeared in an NHL game for the Isles.

The others:

John Tavares
Calvin de Haan
Mikko Koskinen
 Anders Nilsson
Casey Cizikas
Anton Klementyev

Lee signed a two-year deal with the Isles, which could make him a restricted free agent as early as July 1, 2014.
