Islanders on THE FAN

Tomorrow night's Islander game will air live on WFAN (660/101.9FM) in addition to WRHU.

This means that Isles fans throughout the Eastern United States (at least after dark) will be able to hear Chris King's radio call.  Good for Kinger and good for the Isles.

This will be the first time an Islander broadcast will ever be heard on The Fan.  However, it is a homecoming of sorts as WHN (the predecessor to WFAN) was the original radio home of the Isles.

Ironically, the Isles broadcast will shorten Steve Somers' shift tomorrow.  Somers had been scheduled to be on the air from 5 until 8, but has been bumped by (as he would call them) the Icelanders.

ESPN-radio carried game 5 of the Isles/Penguin series but will carry the Knick broadcast tomorrow night.

The Isles have aired on major NYC radio stations at various times in their history, but have not been on a NYC station since WBBR carried the games from 2005-06 to 2007-08.

MSG+ will of course have the telecast of the game, as well as a potential game 7.
