Of all the crazy things in Isles' lore, the whole John Spano issue is probably the craziest. So crazy that it has gotten the ESPN 30 for 30 treatment as the 30 for 30 movie "Big Shot" premieres on Tuesday night, with two re-airings on Wednesday:
Schedule:
Tuesday ESPN 8:00pm (apparently ESPN did not bother to check the Isles' schedule)
Early Wednesday am ESPN2 1:30am
Wednesday ESPN2 9:30pm
Schedule:
Tuesday ESPN 8:00pm (apparently ESPN did not bother to check the Isles' schedule)
Early Wednesday am ESPN2 1:30am
Wednesday ESPN2 9:30pm
The program runs 90 minutes; those recording it overnight should "pad" their recording because ESPN2 does have a college football game on Tuesday night that could push the program late.
Spano has been chatting a bit with fans and media via Twitter (@MrJohnSpano). A couple of exchanges:
@JamesPiccoli Kevin did a great job. He is a true fan, and good guy. Hopefully you will see another side to the story.
And this one...
@Sean_Leahy I respect that people are entitled to their opinions. But really. Pot/Kettle.
