Poulin x3; Looooong-time since Nabby rode the bench

Kevin Poulin will make his third straight start for the 2nd time in his NHL career (also Feb 18-20-21, 2012)

It's the 1st time Evgeni Nabokov has not started in three straight games (when healthy) as an Isle since Al Montoya started the first three games of the 2011-12 season (Oct 8-10-13, 2011; Rick DiPietro served as the back-up in the first two games then suffered a concussion in practice on a Brian Rolston shot -- Nabokov dressed for the first time on October 13)

Nabokov last dressed as the back-up for three straight games on Feb 26-March 3, 2009 with San Jose; he backed-up Brian Boucher for three straight and then didn't dress for the next four with what was eventually declared a "lower-body injury".

The last time an NHL coach chose to go with a different goalie over a healthy Nabokov for at least three straight games was late in the 2005/06 season, and into the playoffs -- when Vesa Toskala enjoyed a brief reign as the Sharks' #1 goalie.  San Jose lost to Edmonton in the 2nd round, blowing a 2-0 lead in the series.
