(1973) –Al Arbour's first win as Islander coach is against the rival Rangers. Some kid named Potvin scores his first NHL goal.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on OCTOBER 28th
(1974) - Ed Westfall and Billy MacMillian each recorded hat tricks as the Isles pounded the California Golden Seals 10-1 to move into first place.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on OCTOBER 29th
(1991) – 5 different players score their first goals for the team as the Isles defeat San Jose 8-4 in the first-ever meeting of the squads.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on OCTOBER 30th
(2001) – Mark Parrish scored his 11th goal as the Islanders end October without a regulation loss for the only time in their history with a 3-2 win over Florida.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on OCTOBER 31st
(2009) – Jeff Tambellini recorded his only NHL hat trick and Marty Biron shut out his old team as the Isles blanked the Buffalo Sabres 5-0.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 1st
(1977) – Bryan Trottier became the first Islander to score four goals in a game as the Isles pounded Atlanta 9-0
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 2nd
(2009)- Brendan Witt scored twice in the second period for his only career multi-goal game, as the Isles beat Edmonton 3-1

(2007) – In one of the most memorable nights in recent Coliseum history, Al Arbour stepped behind the Coliseum bench one final time, coaching the Isles to his 740th regular season win in his 1,500th NHL game as the Isles defeated Pittsburgh 3-2.
