It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 16th

1 year ago tonight (2013) - Casey Cizikas and Brock Nelson scored goals 80 seconds apart in the second period, sandwiching a Johan Franzen goal to get the Isles even through two periods; the Islanders then dominated the third period and the overtime but they eventually needed a shootout goal from Frans Nielsen to defeat the Detroit Red Wings 5-4 on Military Appreciation Night.  Kevin Poulin earned the win in relief of an injured Evgeni Nabokov; the Isles overcome a tying goal by Pavel Datsyuk with 43 seconds to play.
