tonight (1975) – Jean-Paul Parise scored three goals and added an assist as the
Islanders beat the California Golden Seals 5-3.
Captain Ed Westfall added a shorthanded goal and an assist for the
Isles, who improved to 7-1-4 on the season.
Both Denis and Jean Potvin each had two assists; Denis also added a
goal.
It was the
first (and only) NHL hat trick for Parise, who was playing in his 606th
NHL game. Chico Resch made 21 saves and also earned his first career assist.
