Don't forget tomorrow at 7:00 there is a 1-hour special on the Coliseum era titled "Fort Neverlose" debuting on NHL Network. They have been working on it for MONTHS -- and its a really enjoyable history of the Coliseum. I also expect there to be some snippets on the NHL website that didn't make the broadcast -- they had hours upon hours of interviews.
The playoffs open Wednesday -- the Isles play every other day throughout the series.
Games 1/2 from Washington Wednesday/Friday are both on MSG+ with Howie/Butch and our fine crew.
Game 3 on Sunday at noon is exclusive to NBC. Doc Emrick will call that game.
Game 4 on Tuesday is a 7:30 start, back on MSG+.
Starting times and television arrangements for Games 5/6/7 are still to be determined. Note that game 6 -- an Islander home game -- could be played in the afternoon or in the evening.
All playoff games are available nationally in the US/Canada (National feeds are blacked out when MSG+ televises). Out of town fans can catch Game 1 on USA Network (which hasn't had hockey since the 80s) -- Kenny Albert & Pierre Maguire will have that broadcast.
From MSG's website:
All MSG+ televised games are preceded by a 30-minute Islanders pregame
All games are followed by Islanders postgame & Islanders Extra (there will be extensive post-game coverage on Sunday!)
All games are followed by Islanders postgame & Islanders Extra (there will be extensive post-game coverage on Sunday!)
