Brayden Schenn's goal with 2.1 seconds left to play in the third period salvaged a 5-4 win for the Flyers over the Islanders, after Anders Lee had completed the Islanders' rally from a 4-1 deficit by scoring a game-tying sixth-attacker goal with 28 seconds remaining. In the NHL's expansion era (i.e., 1967-68 to date), the only other time an NHL team won a game in regulation time after allowing a tying goal as late as the Flyers did against the Islanders was on Nov. 21, 2000, when the Senators hosted the Bruins. Ottawa led, 1-0, until Bill Guerin tied the score for Boston with 26 seconds remaining in the third period, but Daniel Alfredsson's goal 12 seconds later earned the Senators a 2-1 victory.
