Rare company for Nick Leddy

Nick Leddy has recorded three successive multiple point games.  That puts in into some rare company for Islander defenseman as it has only happened 4 times in the last 28 years.

As I noted in The Skinny last night, Alexei Zhitnik was the last to do so, in three straight games from October 20-25, 2005. But Zhitnik is the only other Islander to do so this century.

The other two Isles to do so in the post-Potvin era are, like Leddy, both Americans.

Tom Kurvers did so in 4 straight games, from January 25- February 2, 1992
Reed Larson did it in 3 straight, from February 16-February 19, 1989

So on Saturday in Boston, Leddy will attempt to become the first Isle defenseman in 24 years to match Kurvers' streak.
