Thomas Greiss recorded his 5th victory of the spring in Game 1. Greiss is only the 2nd goalie in Islander history to record at least 5 playoff games in his first trip to the playoffs with the team. Chico Resch won 8 games for the Isles in 1974-75. However, Chico made his NHL debut the previous season, playing two games. Thus, Greiss is the first to win 5 in his first season with the team.
