I've shared some details on Maya over the few few months -- there is a special fundraising event tonight. If you can't get to the game, be sure to catch Maya's dad Seth on our MSG+ broadcast in the first intermission with Shannon.
<<Where will you be next Monday?? We'll be at Barclays Center!!
Maya's Rainbow Foundation is so excited to announce the New York Islanders have invited us to the April 4th home game for an awareness and fundraising event!!
We will be on the concourse with an information table and also selling 50/50 raffle tickets. We are so grateful that the Islanders have designated us as the beneficiary of the 50/50 raffle money.
And there's more! For those who can't be at the game, you can catch me live on the Islanders broadcast between the 1st and 2nd period. I will be interviewed during the 1st intermission and am looking forward to sharing Maya's story to a larger audience. >>
About Maya and the Islanders:
Maya was so proud to be an Islanders fan. Her last self portrait was in her Islanders Jersey. Before leaving the house for her last manicure, she ran up to us to tell us she was going to get orange and blue nails for the Islanders, and she did! She was so proud of her manicure. When one of the boys at school asked her if her nails were for the Mets, she quickly explained, “No! They are Islanders colors!” That’s our girl. Hockey fans especially Islanders fans are one big family.
From the bottom of our hearts thank you for being there for us.
