Eastern Conference Second Round Game 3
Tampa Bay 5, Isles 4 (OT)
Nikita Kucherov scored the tying goal with 38.4 seconds to play and Brian Boyle then scored the winning goal 2:48 into overtime the Tampa Bay Lightning took a 2 game to 1 lead in their Eastern Conference 2nd round series with a 5-4 victory over the Islanders before a sellout crowd of 15,795 at Barclays Center.
The late Lightning goals spoiled Josh Bailey's first multi-goal game inn post-season play.
Game 4 will be in Brooklyn at 7pm on Friday, and will be nationally televised by NBCSN.

The Skinny
The Isles are 14-15 all-time in game 3's played at home and 26-23 in game 3's overall…Each of the last four game 3's has been decided in overtime Alan Quine's point streak ended at four games. … The Isles have scored 5 first period goals in the series; Tampa Bay did not allow a first period goal to Detroit (5 games). …It was only the 2nd time in this year's playoffs that the Isles have scored first, and only the second time Tampa Bay has allowed the first goal.…Victor Hedman's goal was the 4th of his career, establishing a new record for most career playoff goals by a Lightning defender. Hedman already held both the assist and point record; he's now 4-26-30. First Time in a Long Time
The Isles lost a game in which three players had (at least) two points for the first time since April 26, 2002 vs. Toronto (game 5) when Darren Van Impe, Adrian Aucoin and Shawn Bates each had two points in a game 5 loss to Toronto.
Overtime is (Usually) Our Time
The Isles are 33-15 (.688) all-time in overtime, including 17-8 at home. The .688 overtime percentage is the best in NHL history. The Isles are 3-1 in overtime this season and are 4-2 in overtime over the last two years.
