Pittsburgh 3, Isles 2 (OT)
Kris Letang scored 84 seconds into overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Islanders 3-2 before a crowd of 13,365 at Barclays Center.
The Isles had taken a 2-1 lead early in the second period when Brock Nelson and Anthony Beauvillier scored just 43 seconds apart but Trevor Daley tied the game before the period was over.

The Islanders begin their California road trip as they look to sweep the season series from the Anaheim Ducks.
The Islanders defeated the Ducks 3-2 in the home opener on a Josh Bailey overtime goal and have won each of the last three games against Anaheim. The Isles have also won their last two games in Anaheim and will be looking to win four straight games overall and three straight games in Anaheim for the first time in club history.
This is the fourth straight season that the Isles are playing three consecutive games in California; the Isles are 5-4-0 in those nine games, having taken two of three in each of the last two seasons.
