Anders Lee scored two goals and added an assist while Thomas Greiss made a career-high 48 saves as the Isles broke a 5-game winless streak with a 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins before a sellout crowd of 17,565 at TD Garden.
Lee now has 11 goals in the last 14 games, giving him the most goals in the NHL since November 23rd (one ahead of Sidney Crosby).

The Isles scored the first goal for the 11th time in the last 13 games … Thomas Hickey's goal was the 20th by the Isles' defense this season; the Isles are one of several teams with 20 goals from their defense but only Philadelphia (22) has more…The Isles are 8-0-2 when leading after two periods… The Isles had allowed 13 straight third period goals before Lee's power play goal ended the streak. …Anton Blidh's goal was his first in the NHL while Anton Khudobin's assist was his first in a 107-game NHL career...The Bruins have allowed at least three goals in 7 of the last 9 games…It was the 311th consecutive sellout at TD Garden, where a seat has not gone unsold in over 7 years…The Bruins have the lowest shooting percentage of any team in the NHL; they have now outshot their opponents by a 1,148-925 margin but have been outscored 82-78…The Isles finished with 51 fewer shot attempts than Boston; their -51 Corsi rating was their lowest since Dwayne Roloson faced 61 shots in an overtime win in Toronto in 2009 (the Isles were -60 in that game)…Anders Lee recorded at least three points for only the second time in his career; he had four assists vs. Columbus on February 14, 2015.

Greiss is now 4-1-0 in his last five games and 5-2-0 in his last seven games.
Nifty 50 (updated)
The Isles allowed 50 shots for the first time since Evgeni Nabokov and Al Montoya combined to stop 51 of 54 in a 5-3 win in Pittsburgh on March 27, 2012. The last time a single Islander goalie faced at least 50 in a game was on November 23, 2009, when Dwayne Roloson stopped 58 of 61 in a 4-3 overtime win.
Tavares on the PK
John Tavares saw a career high 2:24 of penalty kill time tonight after spending only 4:45 on the PK so far this season. He had now spent 55:25 on the PK in his career, having played 10,834:48 in total. His previous high in penalty kill time was 1:26 on 2/20/2012 vs. Ottawa.
Better at 5-on-5
The Isles have outscored the opposition 66-64 when each team has five skaters, but have been outscored 35-18 in all other situations.
Milestone Man
Josh Bailey recorded two assists, giving him 172, passing both Duane Sutter and Alexei Yashin (171 each) for 21st place in Isles history

It's home for the holidays as the Isles play their final game before Christmas as they entertain the Buffalo Sabres in Kyle Okposo's return to Barclays Center.
Rasmus Ristolainen's overtime goal gave Buffalo a 3-2 win last Friday in the first meeting of the teams this season. The Isles are 6-1-5 in their last 12 games against Buffalo.
