The Islanders played 22 of their first 34 games at home, which means that 29 of the remaining 48 are on the road.
That includes a key upcoming stretch in which the Isles will play 7 of the next 8 games on the road.
29-Dec-16 @ Minnesota
31-Dec-16 @ Winnipeg
6-Jan-17 @ Colorado
7-Jan-17 @ Arizona
11-Jan-17 Vs Florida
13-Jan-17 @ Florida
14-Jan-17 @ Carolina
16-Jan-17 @ Boston
19-Jan-17 Vs Dallas
21-Jan-17 Vs Los Angeles
However, looking at these 10 games (particularly the nine games after tonight's contest in Minnesota) another pattern emerges -- the Isles have hit a softer spot in their schedule.
After tonight, five of the remaining nine games are against the bottom 7 teams in the west while all but the Boston game are against the bottom 7 in the East.
Overall, the next 24 games are equally divided -- 12 at home and 12 on the road -- but that will leave 17 of the final 24 to be played on the road.
