Claude Giroux scored his 9th career overtime goal with 100 seconds remaining in the extra session as the Philadelphia Flyers overcome a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Islanders 3-2 before a crowd of 13,146 at Barclays Center. The overtime loss snapped the Isles 3-game winning streak but extended their point streak to four games (3-0-1).
The Isles remain unbeaten in regulation under Coach Doug Weight (2-0-1). It's the fourth time in club history that a coach has opened 2-0-1 or better.
Thomas Greiss extended his personal scoreless streak to 154:10 before Wayne Simmonds broke the streak with 5:50 remaining in the second period; Greiss has stopped 85 consecutive shots.

Bracken Kearns leads the Sound Tigers in both goals and points (16-17-33). Rookie Devon Toews leads the team with 21 assists and is second on the team in points (4-21-25). Ryan Pulock leads the defense with 5 goals (5-9-14 in only 18 games).

The Isles welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to Brooklyn in the second meeting of the season between the teams this season. Back on December 10th, the Jackets broke open a close game in the third period and defeated the Isles 6-2 for the sixth win of their franchise record 16 game winning streak.
The Isles have earned at least a point in each of their last 10 home games against Columbus (7-0-3), including two regulation wins last season at Barclays Center.
