The Bruins head home to face Ottawa on Tuesday night. If the Bruins lose in regulation the Isles will be four points behind Boston and hold two games in hand.
Tampa Bay can pass the Isles on Tuesday night when they host Arizona. Right now the Isles hold a one point edge on Tampa, with each team having 11 games to play.
The Isles and Leafs are both off on Tuesday.
