Sidney Crosby scored a goal and added three assists and Tristan Jarry made 31 saves for his second career shutout as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Islanders 4-0 before a crowd of 13,641 at Barclays Center.
The Isles have lost five straight games, all in regulation time and have lost consecutive home games in regulation time for the first time this season.

The Skinny

The Injuries
The Isles lost Josh Bailey to a lower body injury in the first period; he did not return. Andrew Ladd and Ryan Pulock both left the game in the third period and did not return.

Season Series Stats

Bridgeport is 16-12-4-1 on the season following a 3-2 overtime loss in Rochester on Friday. Anthony Beauvillier scored nine seconds into the game and later added a sixth attacker goal to force overtime but the Sound Tigers settled for one point for the second straight game.
Tanner Fritz led Bridgeport with 35 points (10-25-35) at the time of his recall; Rookie Scott Eansor leads the team in goals with 13. Christopher Gibson is 12-6-2 in the nets with 2 shutouts; he has allowed only five goals in his last four starts.
The Sound Tigers visit Toronto on Saturday.

Two of the leading rookies, both wearing #13, share the ice for the first time as the Isles entertain Nico Hischier and the New Jersey Devils.
The Devils are off to a 22-11-7 start, and lead Pittsburgh by six points for the final playoff spot. The Devils could tie Washington for the Division lead with a win in Brooklyn.
The Isles have done very well against New Jersey in recent years. The Isles have won their last 7 home games vs New Jersey (including all four in Brooklyn) and are 12-1-1 in their last 14 overall against the Devs.
This is the first of two meetings in 10 days between the teams at Barclays.
