Joonas Donskoi had a goal and an assist while Tomas Hertl added three helpers as the San Jose Sharks earned a split of the season series with a 4-1 win over the Isles before a sellout crowd of 17,414 at SAP Center at San Jose.
The Isles finish their road trip with a 1-3-0 record, including 1-2-0 in California.

The Skinny
Brock Nelson's 101st career goal ties him with Anders Kallur on the all-time Isles list; 19 of the 101 goals have come in the 56 games he has played in October…Nelson finished with seven shots, one shy of his career high…Logan Couture's 3rd period goal was his 4th in his last two games. .There were 82 penalty minutes assessed, including 52 against the Isles. It was the most penalty minutes assessed by the Isles since they had 66 penalty minutes vs. New Jersey on March 1, 2014 and their most on the road since February 2, 2011 in Pittsburgh…The Isles had taken only 43 penalty minutes in the first six games combined…Each of the last five games has been decided by 3+ goals; that's the first time that has happened since March 2001…Since the start of the 2003-04 season, the Sharks have 28 more wins and are 33 more points than any other NHL team.

The Isles return home but for just a single game as they host the Florida Panthers.
It's the first of three meetings this season and the only one on Islander ice. The Panthers have won all three games they have played in Brooklyn since the Isles eliminated them in the 2016 playoffs. However, the Isles have won their last two games in South Florida and are 3-3-1 in their last seven regular season games against the Cats.
