On Monday afternoon, it was a 17-game point streak. By late Wednesday night it was a 2-game losing streak and a 3-game winless streak.
Jeff Carter scored a power play goal late in the second period to give the Kings the lead and Los Angeles defeated the Isles 4-1 before a crowd of 16,082 at STAPLES Center.
The Isles are winless in three straight for the first time this season and scored only two goals in three games in California.

The Skinny
Derick Brassard's goal ended an Isles scoreless drought of 104:07 but they scored only once in the final 155:25 of this road trip… Jeff Carter is now 22-26-48 in 50 career games against the Isles…Brock Nelson played his 200th consecutive game while Ryan Pulock played his 150th consecutive game…The Isles had led for only 5:26 in the last six games (1:04 tonight and 4:22 vs. the Penguins in the third period on Thursday), yet are 3-2-1 in those six games…It's the first time since October 10, 2006 that the Isles played before a non-sellout crowd in Los Angeles…The Isles' power play went 0-11 in California…It's the first time since November 5-10, 2018 that the Isles have gone winless in three games (also 0-2-1) and is only the second time under Barry Trotz that the Isles have gone three games without a win….This was the 600th "loss" of Trotz' career.

The Isles just finished a stretch where they played five out of six on the road; they'll start a similar stretch on Monday in Detroit. In between, it's just a single home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the final game to be played at Barclays Center in 2019.
It will be the 2nd meeting of the teams this season; the first of Brock Nelson's three overtime goals gave the Isles a 3-2 win in Columbus on October 19th.
The Isles have won four of the last five games between the teams, but none of those games were played in Brooklyn (2-0 at Coliseum and 2-1 in Columbus).
