The Nashville Predators scored the game's final seven goals as they rallied from a 3-1 deficit for an 8-3 win over the Isles before a crowd of 12,114 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The loss, the Isles' first in regulation time on home-ice in the last ten weeks, snapped the Isles' home point streak at 13 (12-0-1) and ended their six-game home win streak and three-game overall win streak. It also ended the Isles eight-game win streak at the Coliseum.
The Isles' record fell to 22-8-2; the 22 wins is still good enough for a share of the club record through 32 games.

The Skinny
The Isles have now allowed 80 goals this season, with eight coming in this game…Eight different Preds had multiple points, led by Craig Smith's 2-1-3…Anthony Beauvillier had an assist and now has 22 points on the season, a mark he didn't reach last season until February 28th … Brock Nelson is 3-2-5 in the last four games; he finished +1….Devon Toews went -3…The Isles scored an Even-Strength goal, a Power Play goal, and a Shorthanded goal in a span of 5:16 in the second period to take a 3-1 lead; it's the first time since January 19, 2015 vs Philadelphia (Kulemin-SH, Bailey-EV, Tavares-PP) that the Isles had scored all three ways in the same period…The Isles are 6-5-1 in their last 12 games … It's the first time since December 20, 2018 vs. Vegas that the Isles failed to earn a point in a game that they held a 2-goal lead at any point…Five of the Isles' eight losses have been by three goals or more…Casey Cizikas now has four points (2-2-4) on the Isles' five shorthanded goals; Vegas' William Karlsson is the only NHL player with five shorthanded points. No Isles has had more than four shorthanded points in a season since 2010-11, when Frans Nielsen had eight and Michael Grabner had 7…Lou Lamoriello served as a General Manager for his 2,500th NHL game.
Lots of Shots
Ryan Pulock had eight shots on goal, most by any Islander this season (and one shy of his career-high).
He is only the fourth defenseman in Islander history to have at least three career games with at least eight shots on goal:
• 10 games- Denis Potvin
• 3 games- Vladimir Malakhov, Roman Hamrlik and Ryan Pulock.
Eight is Enough (First Times in a Long Time)
The Isles allowed eight goals for the first time:
• Ever under Barry Trotz;
• Since March 13, 2017 vs. Carolina;
• At the Coliseum since October 27, 2007, also vs. Carolina;
• Ever to Nashville.
It's only the second time in club history that they have allowed eight goals on an few as 24 shots (also 12/15/1988 vs Pittsburgh).
It's the first time this since November 18, 2018 that the Isles have allowed four goals in a period; the seven combined goals in the period were the most in an Islander game since February 9, 2018 (Isles outscored Detroit 5-3 in 3rd period).
It's Good to be Home(s)
The Isles are 9-3-0 on Coliseum ice. The Isles will play 28 of their 41 home games this season at the Coliseum. The Isles are 4-0-1 at Barclays Center this season and have not lost in Brooklyn (regular season) since January 12th (9-0-1); their next Brooklyn game is on January 11, 2020 vs. Boston.

• 24 games (Hrudey/Smith) in 1985-86; Smith played games 24 and 25.

The Isles will make their first national television appearance of the season as they meet the Bruins for the first time this season.
The Bruins have won only one of their last seven games (1-4-2) but lead the Atlantic Division by a wide margin.
Boston won all three games between the teams last season, with one of the games decided in a shootout; the Isles are 0-6-1 against the B's since they blanked Boston 4-0 on MLK Day in 2017 in Jack Capuano's final game as the Isles' coach.
The Isles are 11-1-0 against the Atlantic Division this season (after winning 12 games vs. the Atlantic all last season.
