Patrik Laine scored 1:49 into overtime as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Islanders 3-2 before 12,937 at Nationwide Arena.
Scott Mayfield and Mathew Barzal scored for the Isles, who allowed a pair of goals 33 seconds apart in the second period to Columbus' Boone Jenner and Cole Sillinger. It was Sillinger's first NHL goal.
