Ilya Sorokin made 26 saves for his 4th career shutout and the Isles scored a goal in each period to blank the Arizona Coyotes 3-0 before 11,690 at Gila River Arena.
Cal Clutterbuck, Brock Nelson and Anthony Beauvillier scored for the Isles; Beauvillier's goal came just seconds after a Kyle Palmieri goal was disallowed when the NHL ruled that he pushed the goaltender's glove.

Cal Clutterbuck's goal was originally credited as unassisted, but a post-game change gave an assist to Adam Pelech … Josh Bailey tied Bob Nystrom for 10th place with his 513th point; Brock Nelson matched Ziggy Palffy for 20th with 331 points…The Isles have points in three straight road games for the first time since March 2-14, 2021 (the 2nd, 8th, and 9th game of a 9-game win streak)…Zdeno Chara (20:26) exceeded 20 minutes of ice-time for the third time since he turned 44 (twice as a Capital, once as an Islander)… Nelson's goal was the Isles' second on the power play this season; the Isles scored only one power play goal in the last minute of a period last season (Oliver Wahlstrom vs. Pittsburgh on February 28th.

On the Farm
Robin Salo will always remember the first goal he scored in the Isles' organization. Salo scored the winning goal 4:10 into overtime as Bridgeport rallied from a 3-0 deficit for a 4-3 home opener win over Springfield. Bridgeport, who dropped a 3-1 decision to the Thunderbird on Friday, is now 1-2-0-2 on the season, heading into Friday's game in Springfield. The Islanders will host Laval on Sunday afternoon.
