Ilya Sorokin made 38 saves, allowing only a goal off a Tony DeAngelo deflection, and the Isles got goals from Alexander Romanov and Kyle Palmieri for a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins before a sellout crowd of 17,850 at TD Garden. 

The win, only the second in the last seven games (2-5-0), also ended a four-game losing streak. David Pastrnak had the only Bruin goal, extending his point streak to a career-high 16 games, and reaching the 800-point mark. 

The Isles are 26-25-7 as they head home to face Nashville at 12:30pm on Saturday.

The Isles earned a regulation win in Boston for the first time since January 16, 2017, when Thomas Greiss blanked the Bruins in Jack Capuano's final game as Isles head coach.

Jonny Brodzinski recorded his first multi-goal game and Urho Vaakanainen recorded his first career three-point game as the Rangers defeated the Isles 5-1 before a sellout crowd of 17,255 at UBS Arena. 

Alex Romanov had the only goal for the Isles, which tied the game 1-1 in the first period before Brodzinski's pair of goals put the game in the Rangers' favor. The Isles have lost four straight games, all in regulation, and are 1-5-0 in their last six games. 

The Isles fall to 25-25-7 overall as they ead to Boston to meet the Bruins on Thursday.

It is the first time since December 4, 2003, that the Isles held the Rangers to 18 shots or fewer. It is only the seventh time that it has ever happened, with the previous six all being at the Coliseum. 

It is the first time since October 26, 2002, that an Islander goalie gave up 5 or more goals on 11 or fewer shots; Chris Osgood allowed 5 on 11 shots, all in the first period, in a 6-2 loss to the Flyers. Billy Smith allowed five on eight shots in 21:56 on April 5, 1987, but Kelly Hrudey stopped the 15 he faced as the Isles rallied from a 5-3 deficit for a 9-5 victory in Philadelphia.

Jason Robertson scored three times in the second period, including twice when Casey Cizikas received a match penalty for a hit on Liam Bischel and the Dallas Stars made that hold up for a 4-3 win over the Isles before a crowd of 16,602 at UBS Arena. 

Pierre Engvall, Kyle Palmieri, and Anthony Duclair had the goals for the Isles, but they lost their third straight game and fourth in the last five (1-4-0); the loss also ended a six-game home winning streak for New York. 

The Isles fall to 8-4-0 in their last twelve games and 25-24-7 overall. The Isles host the Rangers on Tuesday night; it will be the Rangers' first trip to UBS Arena this season.

First Time in a Ridiculously Long Time
The Isles have lost four straight games in regulation that they have scored at least three goals (first time since November 1989) after going 23-4-4 prior to that this season.

On the Farm   
Bridgeport is 12-33-3-3 after a 3-2 shootout loss to Springfield on Sunday. 

Brian Pinho continues to lead the team with 19 goals, two ahead of Liam Foudy. Chris Terry's 32 assists and 48 points pace the Baby Isles in both categories (he is tied for 2nd in the AHL in points).

The Wild scored the game's final five goals to erase a 3-1 Islander lead as they defeated the Isles 6-3 before a sellout crowd of 18,539 at Xcel Energy Center. 

Kyle Palmieri, Brock Nelson, and Anders Lee had the goals for the Isles, but they lost their third straight road game. Matt Boldy hit the 20-goal mark with a pair of goals and added an assist; Jared Spurgeon added two helpers as the Wild scored six goals against the Isles for the first time since October 26, 2017.

The Isles fall to 8-3-0 in their last eleven games as they hit the Four Nations Cup break with a 25-22-7 record. Following a two-week break, the Isles return to action on February 23rd vs. Dallas.

On the Farm   
Liam Foudy had a goal and an assist as Bridgeport improved to 11-31-2-2 with a 5-1 win over Charlotte on Saturday night. 

Brian Pinho leads the team with 18 goals. Chris Terry's 28 assists and 42 points pace the Baby Isles in both categories (and puts him in the Top 5 in the AHL).

The Islanders host Hartford on Wednesday.

Gabriel Vilardi scored twice to give him a career-high 24 goals, and the second goal eventually became the game winner as the Winnipeg Jets held off the Isles 4-3, for their eighth straight win, before a crowd of 14,685 at Canada Life Centre. 

Simon Holmstrom, Marc Gatcomb, and Kyle Palmieri had the goals for the Isles, but they lost their second straight road game. 

The Isles are 8-2-0 in their last ten games as they fall to 25-21-7. The Isles head to Minnesota tomorrow to close out the pre- Four Nations Cup portion of the schedule.
